CPVC One Step Cement

A CPVC One-Step Cement is supplied for use with CPVC Pipe and CPVC Fittings, use only this CPVC One Step Cement with CPVC products. The set and cure times in the Installation & Specification Manual are for CPVC One Step Cement.
CPVC One Step Cement should be purchased when purchasing the CPVC pipe and CPVC fittings, and be applied using an applicator about half the size of the pipe diameter. Apply a heavy, even coat of CPVC One Step Cement to the outside CPVC pipe end, and then apply a medium coat to the CPVC fitting socket. CPVC Pipe sizes 1-1/4 and above must always receive a second CPVC One Step Cement application on the CPVC pipe end - apply CPVC One Step Cement on the CPVC pipe end, then in the CPVC fitting socket, then again on the CPVC pipe end.
Special care shall be exercised when assembling CPVC systems in extremely low temperatures (below 39°F or 4°C), or extremely high temperatures (above 100°F or 38°C). Extra set time shall be allowed in colder temperatures. When cementing CPVC pipe and CPVC fittings in extremely cold temperatures, make certain that the CPVC One Step Cement has not "gelled". Gelled CPVC One Step Cement must be discarded. In extremely hot temperatures, make sure both surfaces to be joined are still wet with CPVC One Step Cement when putting them together.
