Thermafit Industries (TFI) patent pending hinge type
no hub coupling are used for joining the hubless cast iron soil pipe and fittings. The New couplings are engineered to replace the traditional shield-type couplings in the industry. TFI Couplings meet the applicable requirements of IAPMO Guide Criteria, IGC 257-2009a.

The couplings consist of an elastomeric compound gasket (ASTM C-564). The clamp assembly withstood a torque of 69 in-lb for regular duty and a torque of 92 in-lb for heavy duty units (115% of the manufacturer recommended torque of 60 in-lbs and 80-in-lbs respectively).

The entire coupling is corrosion resistant.
